YOUNGEST OFFICERS GET THEIR DIPLOMAS

The diplomas testifying that the cadets of the Serbian Army of the 131st and 132 class of the Military Academy have become officers were awarded today by the Head of the Military Academy, Brigadier General Mladen Vuruna. 125 cadets of the 131st and 132nd class completed their military training including 19 female cadets for the first time in Serbia.

In addition to diplomas, the offices were given the Military Academy badges with the label of their class, while Air Force Brigadier General deputy commander Sreto Malinovic presented the air men with the flying insignia.

The diploma awarding ceremony in the hall of the Military Academy was attended by cadets and other relatives, as well as by State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Igor Jovicic, Dean of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Faculty of Traffic Sciences , the Defense University Vice-Chancellor Professor Colonel Dr. Jan Marcek, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff of the Army of Serbia including professors and teachers of future officers.

Top-ranking cadets Predrag Andric, a graduate mechanical engineer with the GPA of 9,40, Vladimir Petrovic, also an engineer, with a GPA 9,27, and Nenad Kanjevac, management engineer, who finished schooling at the Academy with a score of 9,21 are the three top students of their class. The best female cadets are are Vanja Mrdja (9,14), Violeta Brkovic (8,86) and Marija Markovic (8,76).

The best cadet of the Military Academy, Predrag Andric, was presented with the prize of the "Borko Nikitovic" fund. The winners for the best theses are cadets Sasa Stefanovic for "Tank platoon in the attack - a tactical exercise in live shooting" in the field of humanities, and Marija Markovic in the field of technical and technological sciences titled " Reusable imitators of nuclear explosions”.
