The purpose of the study program Military Mechanical Engineering is education of the Military Academy cadets for the occupation of Technical Service officers and mechanical engineers. The outcome of the learning process is the knowledge, skills and competencies that allow cadets solving problems that arise in practice and research, using literature and providing continuing education on master and PhD studies.

With the implementation of this study program, future officers – mechanical engineers will be able to solve basic technical and technological problems in their initial commander’s or administrative positions related to technology of maintenance and storage of arms and military equipment within the missions and tasks of the Armed Forces of Serbia.

In the first two years of education, general education and theoretical and methodological subjects prevail, while in the third and fourth year, scientific-research and professional-application subjects are mostly implemented.

The compulsory and elective subjects are defined on the basis of the dominant identified problems that arise from the moment of design, construction and manufacturing, through storage, maintenance and operation of various mechanical systems. Accordingly, the study program Military Mechanical Engineering is implemented in two elective areas – modules:
  • Armament and
  • Combat Vehicles.
A cadet gains a degree of Mechanical Engineer if in due time fulfills all obligations prescribed by the study program, thereby achieving 240 ECTS. In addition to a Diploma, a cadet is also issued with a Diploma Supplement, which means the competences for Technical Service officer, specialty Armament or Combat Vehicle, as well as an engineer of military mechanical engineering.
