“Open Door” for the Enrolment on the Military Schools

The competition for the enrolment of students on the Military Grammar School is going to be open until 15th March 2019, while the competitions for the Military High School, Military Academy and Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy are going to be opened until 31st March.
The door of the military schools is open every Saturday until the end of the competitions, to all interested candidates, and judging by the last Saturday, the interest in the admission to the military schools is very high. But, there is a good reason for that.
The state in the Serbian Armed Forces is changing for the better. The resources in the budget have been increased for the betterment of the quality of living and working conditions in the armed forces and in the military schools as well. Emoluments have been increased for both the employees and the students and cadets, and particularly inviting is the accelerated modernisation with modern arms and military equipment.

The education is free, with an opportunity to use exceptionally equipped capacities for extracurricular activities. The cadets of the Military Academy and Medical Faculty, as well as the students of the Military Grammar School and Military High Vocational School receive scholarships, and they are provided with accommodation and meals, and the accommodation conditions have been significantly improved.
Particularly important is that upon completion of a military school, the attenders will have guaranteed employment with an opportunity for continuous professional and career advancement. Those who wish can participate in peacekeeping operations as well.
Being a soldier in the formation of the fatherland has always been an honour. By tying the profession and life calling to the Serbian Armed Forces, their members know and they are assured that there is someone who thinks about them and their families.
If other reasons are added to this, such as family tradition, challenges of the military profession, love for the uniform, then the interest shown by the young people for the military schools is quite understandable.

The interested candidates will be able to see where they would be educated and where they would live if they come to the Military Academy on Saturday between 10.00 and 13.00 hours, 33 Generala Pavla Jurišića Šturma Street. During the visit, they will have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the living and working conditions at the Military Academy, to tour hall of residence of the cadets, seminar rooms and sports facilities.
In the Military Grammar School as well, as long as the competition lasts, interested candidates have an opportunity every Saturday from 10.00 to 13.00 hours to come to the hall of residence of the Military Grammar School in Belgrade, 22 Humska Street, where they will be familiarised with the requirements of the competition, hall of residence and other facilities of this school.
The candidates for the admission will have an opportunity to talk to teachers, commanding officers, cadets and students about everything that they are interested in regarding the education.
This year, the Military Academy will enrol 183 cadets, and the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy will admit 25 cadets. Military High Vocational School will enrol 65 boys and girls, while the Military Grammar School will enrol 90 students of both sexes.
We hereby invite the young to apply for the admission to the military schools, to submit their application with required documentation in a timely fashion in the centres of the Ministry of Defence in the territory of permanent residence in the period during which the competitions are opened and to prepare themselves for the entrance test as well as possible.

The competitions for the admission are published in the magazine “ODBRANA” of 1st February 2019 and on the web site of the Ministry of Defence - www.mod.gov.rs, where all the information about the conditions of the competitions and required documentation can be found.
