General Frantiszek Alexander Zach
Franja Zach – The first head of the Artillery School of Principality of Serbia (Olomuc, Czech Republic, April 19th (May 1st) 1807 – Brno January 2nd (14th) 1892) He finished primary school, high school and studies of philosophy in Brno and studies of law in Vienna. From 1832 to 1836 he studied military sciences in Paris. After the invitation of the Prince Alexander he became confidential political adviser. In 1850 he became chef of General Staff. During the Serbian-Turkish war he led the Ibar Army where he distinguished himself with personal bravery. He was taught history of warfare, French language, geography and strategy
