Military Electronic Engineering is a study programme intended for the education of cadets of the Military Academy for the following branch officers: artillery and missile units for anti-aircraft operations, electronic units, telecommunications service, technical service, IT service and early warning service in accordance with the SAF military missions and tasks.
Upon successful completion of education and training, cadets acquire the title of a BSc in electrical engineering and computer science. With the completion of this study programme, future officers will be trained to solve basic technical and technological problems in their initial duties, which are related to the exploitation and maintenance of military electronic systems and means in use in the Serbian Armed Forces.
During the first two years of training, general-educational and theoretical-methodological subjects from the fields of general military sciences and social sciences, fundamental natural sciences and mathematics and technological sciences are predominantly represented in the study programme. In the third year, a group of subjects of specific technological sciences is taken, while in the fourth year, a group of subjects oriented towards solving specific problems in the field of military electronic engineering is covered.
An integral part of education and training is professional practice in the units and institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, where cadets improve the acquired knowledge being engaged in practical work with weapons and military equipment. In this way, cadets are trained for successful involvement in the accomplishment of their tasks in their positions after the successful completion of training.
The cadet obtains the diploma of a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science after passing all exams and finishing all training exercises planned by the study programme. In addition to the diploma, the cadet is issued a Diploma Supplement, which indicates the competencies of a cadet for a professional officer of the following branches: Artillery and Rocket Units for anti-aircraft operations, electronic action units, telecommunications service, technical service, IT service and early warning service, and BSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
