Тraffic service

Based on the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces for the education of traffic service officers who will respond to the requests of units and institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, the study programme Military Traffic Engineering has been developed.
The purpose of the study programme Military Traffic Engineering is to educate and train cadets for the professional traffic service officer in the Serbian Armed Forces, i.e. students for the jobs of a BSc in Traffic Engineering.
The undergraduate studies in the study programme Military Traffic Engineering last for four academic years (eight semesters). The total number of ECTS that a cadet, i.e. a student, needs to achieve in order to complete this level is 240.
The structure of the study programme consists of compulsory and elective courses, professional practice and final paper. Compulsory courses include areas (subjects) where cadets and students acquire basic theoretical knowledge necessary for later successful understanding and acquisition of professional knowledge necessary for the profile of a modern professional traffic service officer. This knowledge is acquired through subjects in natural sciences and mathematics, social sciences and humanities, subjects from defence sciences and certain areas of technological sciences (mechanical engineering, informatics and computer science, logistics ...). In addition to obligatory courses, the cadet/student also chooses a certain number of elective courses in the study programme, to the extent necessary to provide the required number of ECTS credits.
Compulsory and elective courses are defined on the basis of job profiles, i.e. job requirements – duties of traffic service officers in the Serbian Armed Forces and on the basis of dominant identified problems that occur in the field of management, organization and technology of operation in traffic and transport processes in the field of defence.
The cadet/student obtains the diploma of a BSc in Traffic Engineering if he/she fulfils all the obligations prescribed by the study programme within the stipulated deadline and thus achieves 240 ECTS.                       
In addition to the diploma, the cadet/student is also issued a Diploma Supplement which indicates the competencies of the professional traffic service officer of the Serbian Armed Forces and a BSc in Traffic Engineering.
