Management in Defence
The Doctoral Study Programme Management in Defence offers students the latest scientific knowledge in the field of management in defence and defence science and follows new achievements and trends in these sciences and scientific disciplines.
The purpose of the study programme is to develop scientific abilities and academic skills for high quality and independent scientific research work in accordance with the needs of the defence system and society. Personnel are educated to critically evaluate the research work of others and to independently conduct original and scientifically relevant research. The study programme enables the development of the theory of strategic management, strategy, operations, tactics, national security system, doctrine theory, human resources management, logistics in the defence system and financial management in the defence system.
The structure of courses envisages four compulsory and five elective subjects, the mastering of which is a precondition for the quality preparation of the doctoral dissertation/PhD thesis.
The doctoral dissertation/PhD thesis is an independent research work that the student, primarily in consultation with the mentor, designs and conducts during the entire doctoral studies, in order to defend the dissertation before the commission after fulfilling all the obligations provided by the study programme.
