Military Electronic Engineering

The purpose of the Doctoral Study Program Military Electronic Engineering is to educate students to solve complex scientific research problems in the field of development and implementation of signal processing algorithms in radar and telecommunications systems, as well as algorithms for optimal and adaptive missile systems management, implementation of artificial intelligence in electrical and computer engineering, as well as the development of procedures and methods for electronic warfare in accordance with the missions and tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.

The goal of the study programme is to achieve scientific abilities and academic knowledge and skills in the field of electrical and computer engineering, with a focus on the problems that arise during the implementation of tasks and missions of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The general goal set in this way is achieved in order to prepare for the most complex managerial, teaching or research duties, to develop the ability to solve problems using modern scientific methods and procedures, to connect basic knowledge from different areas and apply it, to develop the ability to follow modern achievements in science and profession, as well as to apply acquired knowledge and skills in research, academic community, industry, local government and government agencies.

During these studies, students acquire knowledge, skills and abilities that enable them to independently solve practical and theoretical problems in the field of electrical and computer engineering, organize and carry out development and scientific research related to solving complex scientific research problems in the field of application and design of complex electronic systems and contribute to the wider academic community and society as a whole, paying attention to the development of teamwork skills and professional ethics.

The doctoral dissertation/PhD thesis is the result of independent research work in a selected narrow scientific field and represents the final part of the study programme. By writing a doctoral dissertation, students gain scientific experience for creative work, writing papers within which it is necessary to describe the problems, implemented methods and procedures and the results obtained, as well as to give a new scientific contribution to the development of science and application of their scientific research in practice.
