Medals for the athletic team of the Military Academy
Cadets, Reserve Officers Course attendants of the Military Academy and students of the Military High School participated in the athletic event race “1300 Corporals” organized by the Sports Association of Arandjelovac.
In the 5,000 metre race in the competition between the army and the police, our members achieved remarkable results. They won two medals in both the men's and women's competitions. In the men's competition, the second place and the silver medal were won by Igor Tomić, the cadet of the 143rd class, while the third place and the bronze medal were won by the student of the 46th class of the Military High School, Dejan Petrović. In the women's competition, the second place was won by a member of the Centre for Physical Education and Sports, military employee Natasa Ćulafić, while the third place and the bronze medal were won by the cadet of the 142nd class, Teodora Šibinac.
In the 10,000 meter race, a silver medal was won by military employee Natasa Ćulafić.
The race “1300 Corporals” is traditionally organized in Arandjelovac in honour of one of the greatest feats of the Serbian Army and victory in the Battle of Kolubara in the Great War. It was then that the help and heroism of Serbian intellectuals and students who were sent to the front line and gave their significant contribution to this great victory came to the fore.
